The composite damping sound insulation board used in this engineering case can be applied to spaces with weak sound insulation performance or requiring sound insulation treatment, such as hotels, bars, KTVs, nightclubs, cinemas, recording rooms, piano rooms, studios, offices, high noise machine rooms, rooms in rooms, industrial noise reduction, and clubs.
Project Overview
Project Name: A recording studio in Nanjing (confidential project name not disclosed)
Party A’s requirement: The functional effect should be aligned with the recording studio of the TV station, with a blue theme, highlighting a modern sense of technology, economy, environmental protection, and energy conservation。
Existing problems before renovation: During the construction of the recording studio, the overall sound environment requirements were not high, and the use time was long, resulting in poor sound insulation performance of the studio. The sound quality during recording was dry and low. In addition, noise from meeting rooms, offices, and other work areas often interfered with recording。
Construction of recording studio walls
For a recording studio, the construction of the wall is very important, and its quality will directly affect the later use effect.
The wall decoration of a recording studio is not like indoor wall decoration, which only requires basic acoustic treatment such as sound insulation and noise reduction. Instead, sound insulation decoration should be done on top of it, and then the overall acoustic effect should be treated to achieve a good acoustic effect and ensure the quality of later recording.
The method we adopted for the wall of the recording studio this time is to first create a keel, apply environmentally friendly silicone adhesive on the back of the substrate (with one side of the mesh cloth), stick it on the keel, and use the silicone adhesive cushion to level the substrate.
Then we made acoustic sound-absorbing panels and diffusers that are easy to install and removable for later cleaning and replacement, and attached decorations.
Ground construction of recording studio
The ground of a recording studio cannot be treated with basic operations such as brushing cement and tiling like typical buildings, but requires sound insulation, suspension, moisture resistance, and anti-static treatment.
Before construction, we will level the ground and raise it with a keel to achieve the effect of floating the ground.
Then lay solid wood flooring with a thickness of no less than 10mm on the keel to improve sound insulation and moisture resistance, and lay carpets as needed.
